Furniture shops at the Costa del Sol

My 10 favourite furniture stores

The top 10 furniture shops at the Costa del Sol

If you have a property in Spain, you want to feel completely at home there. So how nice is it if your home is decorated according to your taste? But the search for furniture can be quite a challenge. Especially if you are not familiar with local furniture shops. Below is a list of my favourite furniture shops on the Costa del Sol that you should definitely not miss.

1. Muebles A. Benítez

Fuengirola

Offering: Furniture, garden furniture and accessories in the mid-range segment

Style: Modern

Strengths: Good service, wide range, delivery and assembly

Weaknesses: Supply on the webshop is limited

This is one of my personal favourite shops. For example, I myself am a huge fan of Kave Home, one of the brands they sell. You will find modern furniture and accessories of good quality in the medium price segment. You can compare the shop to Eijerkamp in the Netherlands. I am enthusiastic about their customer service. They upholster the furniture in the desired colour and the furniture is delivered to your home. A downside is that only a small part of their range is on the webshop. So you really have to drive to the shop to see their offer.

2. Roger's Linnerie

Torremolinos

Offering: Beds and bed textiles in the mid-range segment

Style: Modern

Strengths: Good service, customisation, delivery and assembly

Weaknesses: No clear webshop

If you're looking for a box spring or bed textiles, you're in the right place. At Spanish shops, it can be a challenge to find a bed for taller people. But this shop designs and produces all beds in-house. This allows you to customise your bed to your liking. Besides, the beds are delivered and assembled at home, so no hassle with kits. One drawback, in my opinion, is that the webshop is not entirely clear, but this shop is definitely worth a trip to Torremolinos.

3. Zoco Home

Mijas & Marbella

Offering: High-end furniture, garden furniture and accessories

Style: Scandinavian/ethnic

Strengths: Wide range, webshop and two physical locations

Weaknesses: You will only find one style here

If you like an ethnic / Scandinavian style and neutral colours, I definitely recommend Zoco Home. You'll find beautiful furniture and good-quality accessories that fit within this style. I think this is also the biggest drawback: you will only find products that fit within this style. So don't go here if you like colour in your interior.

4. Casa

o.a. Mijas, Marbella & Estepona

Offering: Low-end furniture and accessories

Style: Modern, Japandi, eclectic

Strengths: Low price range, webshop and physical locations

Weaknesses: Limited supply of furniture, long delivery times

Who says beautiful furniture always has to be expensive? At the Casa, you will find stylish furniture and accessories at a low price. Casa is a retail chain and you can find this shop in several locations in Spain. You can compare this chain a bit to the Dutch stores Karwei, Kwantum or Leen Bakker. I find it a pity that their range of furniture is limited, but luckily they do renew their assortment often. In addition, they have a handy webshop and you can have all products delivered to your home. Do note that delivery times on the webshop are often very long.

5. Favell's

Mijas

Offering: Mid-range garden furniture

Style: Modern

Strengths Large selection, good value for money

Weaknesses: Few home furniture items

This is one of my favourite shops for garden furniture. You will find a large range of garden furniture in different styles. I also like the value for money. Besides garden furniture, they also sell furniture and jacuzzis. The service is good and the garden furniture can often be delivered to your home quickly. Although I am a fan of their garden furniture, the range of furniture for the home is limited.

6. Casasola

Marbella

Offering: Mid-range furniture and accessories

Style: Modern

Strengths: Good service, wide range, delivery and assembly

Weaknesses: Webshop is not clear

I find this furniture shop similar to Muebles A. Benítez. Here, too, you will find modern furniture and accessories in the mid-range segment. Ideal if you prefer to buy your furniture and accessories in one place. The service is good and the furniture is delivered and assembled at home. I find it a small drawback that the webshop is not easy to navigate. As a result, you cannot immediately see what the conditions and delivery times are. My preference is therefore for their physical shop.

7. Eichholtz

Marbella

Offering: High-end furniture and accessories

Style: Modern, classic, timeless

Strengths: Good service, good quality, unique products

Weaknesses: High price range

Eichholtz is a leading luxury brand in the interior design world. Eichholtz furniture and accessories are unique and timeless. It's hard to pigeonhole this style. If you have the budget, I definitely recommend taking a look at the showroom in Puerto Banús. Eichholtz is a premium brand, so do bring a well-stocked wallet when you shop here.

8. Ideal Furniture

Marbella

Offering: Mid-range furniture and accessories

Style: Modern

Strengths: Good service, wide range, delivery and assembly

Weaknesses: Limited stock

Ideal Furniture fits in with A. Benitez and Casasola as far as I'm concerned. At this shop, too, you'll find a wide range of all kinds and styles of furniture, accessories and garden furniture in one place. The products are of high quality and you can have them delivered to your home anywhere on the Costa del Sol. So a good choice if you are looking for furniture in the medium price segment. Stock is limited though, so delivery times may be longer.

9. La Oca

Málaga

Offering: Mid-range furniture and accessories

Style: Modern

Strengths: Good service, clear webshop, well-known brands

Weaknesses: Limited offer, small shop

You'll find this furniture shop right in the centre of Málaga. The shop is small, but nice. So don't expect to spend half a day visiting this shop. Luckily, they also have a clear webshop where you will find many more nice items. They sell well-known brands like Zuiver and Dutchbone. So I think it's worth a visit to this shop.

10. Maisons du Monde

Málaga & Marbella

Offering: Furniture and accessories in the low to mid-range segment

Style: Modern

Strengths: Good webshop, wide selection

Weaknesses: Delivery times can be long

The popular chain Maisons du Monde should not be missing from this list. I find this an accessible and affordable shop. I like that all the accessories in the physical shops are sorted by colour. In fact, the range is so wide that they offer products in both the low and medium price segments. Besides physical shops, Maisons du Monde also has a clear webshop. Be careful with the delivery times, though, as they are sometimes very long.
